Established in the late 1800s, the Brandlin winery has been a staple of the Napa Valley wine scene since the 60s. Two years ago, the iconic premium winery received a major makeover thanks to the help of marketing firm Affinity Creative. The previous logo was bland and unoriginal, featuring nothing more than the Brandlin Estate name in large, all-caps font. “We wanted to modernize the logo and make it more exciting,” says Brandlin spokesperson Eileen Ellis. “We also wanted to make it more extensible, so that it could be used across a much wider range of mediums and scales in addition to print.”
MARE ISLAND, CA – Brandlin Winery, located in the heart of Napa Valley in the famed Mount Veeder AVA, has been renamed Brandlin Estate with the help of Affinity Creative Group. Brandlin Estate’s parent company, Two Estates Wine Collective (formerly known as Cuvaison Estate Wines), hired the agency to implement a rebranding program that included new wine packaging and labels, as well as a redesigned website.

To draw attention to the name change and highlight the history of Brandlin Manor, Affinity Creative Group developed a new brand image with an elegant and discreet look that draws attention from all angles.
Brandlin Estate’s new packaging is a modern reinterpretation of the winery’s former mountain logo. An elaborate geometric representation of Mount Veeder, the firm used parallel raised lines and patterns to subtly indicate rows of mountain vines.
The new descent sign is a tribute to the vision and dedication it takes to tackle the challenging mountain terrain of Mt. Bucket of grapes to grow. This new key visual element is illustrated in a contemporary style and combined with classic typography to create a fresh yet timeless label, says Cynthia Sterling, creative director of Affinity Creative Group.
Affinity used this striking design technique as an animated micro-interaction on the new website. The subtle and unique features of the new brand and its use throughout the site ensure brand consistency at all key points of the customer’s interaction with the Brandlin estate. Affinity’s digital team provided an elegant and sophisticated user experience on any device by building Brandlin Estate’s website with mobile optimization in mind. The elegant and intuitive interface includes Brandlin’s heritage history, details about the 95-year-old winery, information about the exclusive wine portfolio and a seamlessly implemented e-commerce system.
Brandlin Estate released an updated set in May 2021, starting with a national release of the 2018 Brandlin Estate Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon. The new website and online wine shop are now online at https://brandlinestate.com.
