Bacchus Landing, the signature winery tasting room and restaurant at the Healdsburg Collection, will debut its second location—bringing the total number of wineries to five—in Summer 2021 in the Healdsburg Wine Country.
Bacchus Landing, the second winery in The Healdsburg Collection, is slated to debut in Summer of 2021, when the first of its two wineries, The Healdsburg Wine Company, will officially open its doors. Bacchus Landing will be located in the heart of the wine country, and will combine Healdsburg’s unique hospitality and culture with the winery’s focus on handcrafted wine making. The project is the culmination of a collaboration between the Healdsburg Wine Company and Bacchus Landing, bringing together two remarkable companies that share a common vision of hospitality and excellence.
Bacchus Landing, the largest urban winery in the United States, is set to open in the spring of 2021. Bacchus Landing will be the first winery in the country to open a collective of tasting rooms. This will allow visitors to sample wines from growers in the Healdsburg region, as well as the winery’s own wine and spirits.
Healdsburg, CA, 24. June 2021. – Bacchus Landing is pleased to announce the official opening of the estate’s tasting rooms in July 2021. Less than a mile and a half from bustling Healdsburg Plaza, at the intersection of three of Sonoma County’s best wine regions, Bacchus Landing is home to eight different wineries in five different outdoor tasting rooms, representing a variety of grape varieties and winemaking styles.
Sonoma County residents Monica and Francisco Lopez, along with their parents Al and Dina, designed Bacchus Landing in 2015 to showcase the region’s boutique wineries in an atmosphere that reflects the family’s deep passion for hospitality and family gatherings. The Lopez family also founded Aldina Vineyards, a winery in Sonoma County that specializes in premium Cabernet Sauvignon wines. As a family that lives and works in the area, the Lopes want Bacchus Landing to offer much of what is popular with Haldsburg residents and visitors.
Our goal was to create a destination that reflects the exceptional quality and diversity of Sonoma County’s wines. Now that Bacchus Landing is ready to open, we believe we have achieved that goal, said Monica Lopez, co-owner and CEO of Bacchus Landing.
Bacchus Landing was designed by the Lopez family to reflect the Mediterranean architecture of their own home. It features four individual wine tasting rooms, a cooperative tasting room, a large central plaza and plenty of comfortable seating where visitors can enjoy artisanal snacks from the Market at Bacchus Landing and find the perfect place to relax and enjoy an afternoon with family and friends on over 3 acres. Families and large groups will enjoy Frank’s Place, located just outside the walls of the Piazza. There are bocce courts, picnic tables, lawn games, music, herb gardens and a variety of fruit trees.
Following the opening of Bacchus Landing, three local wineries will open their first stone tasting rooms, including Russian Mountain Wines, 13th & Third Wines and Aldina Vineyards, which will occupy the piazza’s only co-op tasting room. AldenAlli and Dot Wine will also open in Bacchus Landing later this summer. The final two tasting rooms will be occupied by wineries who are currently working out the details of their new home at Bacchus Landing.
Bacchus Landing is becoming the premier wine tasting destination in Sonoma County wine country. Over the past 18 months, we have seen the Lopez family’s dream come true, and we are honored to have them as a strategic partner. The location, design and energy of this project fit perfectly with our passion for hospitality, says Dan Costa, President and Co-Founder of AldenAlli.
