Like many businesses in British Columbia, the events industry has been reviewing its business plans over the past year, hoping to resume operations at the end of the pandemic.

Limitations on the number of guests at the event, site lockdown, and a general concern for public health and safety made it impossible for an event coordinator to host large gatherings in 2020.

Over the past year, the industry has worked hard to change course and adapt to the modern world as companies and teams continue to work.

One company not only persevered, but found a way to put its mission at the forefront of its new direction.

Our mission has always been to support everything British Columbia that is fun and unique, says Catherine Bramall, Executive Director of the BC Wine, Cider & Spirits Festival. gave us the opportunity to not only host a tasting directly in people’s homes, but also to showcase many BC products each month. is a new company offering monthly subscription baskets of red wine, white wine, sparkling wine, craft beer, craft cider, craft liquor and many other products from British Columbia. These baskets are delivered directly to your home and come with a sample card so you can learn along the way.

The company started shipping its subscription baskets in November 2020 and already has more than 45 local stores.

Many subscription boxes provide their customers with samples that are donated to the box company, but every product in the basket is purchased. Not only do they promote B.C. products, but they also encourage sales to the local businesses they represent.

Subscriptions can be purchased for $149.98 per month and are offered for 6 months or a 12-month commitment through

We look forward to hosting great tastings again, but after seeing how many local businesses we can financially support through this program, we have decided to continue offering subscription baskets with after the events return, Bramell said.
