The combined skills of the new managers will bring a wealth of experience and extensive capabilities to the wholesaler and importer in Illinois.

The management team consists of Joe Gluntz, Jr. as new interim CEO, John Samaritano as President of the Company and Stacy Dalton as new CEO.

These seasoned professionals have proven experience and expertise in viticulture and will form the next generation of leaders who will enable us to continue to modernise, grow and thrive in the Midwest and beyond.

Joe Gluntz Jr. is appointed CEO after 27 years of service. He recently served as President and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and before that he was Director of Sales. He will replace Joe Glunz Sr. who has spent his entire career building and transforming a successful wholesaler and importer into the trusted family business he owns and operates today. As CEO, Joe will be in charge of the day-to-day operations and focus on expanding Louis Glunz Wines’ presence in the market, while John Samaritano will take over the reins of the company.

Our overall vision for the future is brilliant, added John Samaritano, the new president of Louis Glunz Wines. We have extensive experience in importing and producing the premium brands that suppliers and customers rely on, as well as the demand for premium wines and spirits. We look forward to future growth, but also to expanding the representation of our current portfolio, which contains the best wines from around the world.

Stacey Dalton will replace Chris Mack as CEO of Louis Glunz Wines. Dalton brings proven industry knowledge, executive management experience and in-depth experience in the technology sector. In her new role, Stacey will play a central role in introducing the technological advances of Louis Glunz wines.

With my extensive experience in wine, business management and technology, I look forward to combining these skills as CEO of Louis Glunz Wines, says Stacy Dalton. At a critical time for the industry, suppliers and customers are looking for the high quality and value we continue to bring to the market. I’m proud to be part of one of the oldest family businesses in Chicago!

John Samaritiano returns to Louis Glunz Wines as President after working for a number of high-end wineries, most recently at Constellation Brands, where he was Regional Manager for premium wines. John has over thirty years of experience in the wine and spirits industry in Chicago, the Midwest and across the country. He has extensive experience in distribution management, key account sales, pricing, programming and staff training (both internal and external).

Stacey Dalton was Vice President International Operations for the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation for two years.  In 2010 she started a formal training in the field of wine, which was completed in two years at the Wine Masters Institute.  Stacey also followed the WSET, the CSW and the introductory level of the Master Sommelier Court.

Prior to Glunz, Stacey spent 25 years in the technology industry, leading several multi-million-dollar Oracle businesses over the past 11 years as group vice president. She was also a member of the Board of Directors of Winery Management Systems for five years.  Stacey earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from Iowa State University and her MBA from Loyola University.
