Wine maker Ettore Capezzano and his winemaker son Frank have just launched their new winery, Ettore, with two vintages of Pinot Noir: the 2013 Estate Pinot Noir and the 2013 Estate Chardonnay, which joins the 2012 Estate Pinot Noir. The Estate Pinot Noir was bottled unfined and unfiltered. Wines from this new winery are made to bring out the terroir of the vineyard with minimal manipulation and the emphasis is on natural yeasts, native fermentation, and no filtration. The Estate Chardonnay has aromas of citrus and nectarine with a creamy mouthfeel and a touch of butterscotch.

If you’re a wine lover who’s familiar with California’s Mendocino County, you’re already aware of the region’s unique microclimates and terroir that allows for a much wider range of wine styles than you’ll find in most of the state’s other wine-producing regions. Now, thanks to a new vineyard project called Ettore, winemakers are able to make wines here that are distinctly different from those of the southern part of the county known as the Anderson Valley. The vineyard is located in the northwestern part of the county, an area that shares a similar climate and elevation with regions in France’s Burgundy region.

A boutique organic winemaker combines the power and energy of the New World with the elegance of the Old.

New York, NY, 27. April 2021. – Mendocino’s ETTORE will announce its official launch when the first two harvests arrive in selected markets in the U.S. Wines include ETTORE Cabernet Sauvignon, ETTORE Merlot, ETTORE Red, ETTORE Chardonnay Pure, ETTORE Chardonnay Reserve, and ETTORE Chardonnay Zero and Merlot Zero, which are made using the Purovino® process. Italian winemaker Ettore Biraghi brings his legacy from the old world of Italian winemaking to the new world, creating wines that are subtle, powerful, elegant and pure. The wines are an expression of ETTORE’s exploration of West Coast growing regions to produce unique organic and expressive wines.

Colangelo & Partners has been named Agency of Record for ETTORE in the United States. The agency is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications plan targeting the industry’s key media, practitioners and influencers. ETTORE enters into this partnership as the 2018 and 2019 wines enter a market that continues to offer new opportunities.

Colangelo & Partners will focus the campaign on strategic media and trade relations to increase Ettore’s brand awareness and support in-store sales opportunities. The activation demonstrates the winery’s commitment to the U.S. market and its desire to be a pioneer in domestic organic wines. ETTORE joins Colangelo & Partners’ growing list of prestigious California clients, including Aperture, Charles Krug, Ehlers Estate, Far Niente, Foley Family Wines, Hamel Family Wines, JUSTIN, La Crema, Larkmead, Quintessa, Wagner and others.

Winemaker Ettore Biraghi began his career as a viticulturist in Ticino, where he developed his unconventional and innovative voice as an Italian and Swiss winemaker motivated by innovation, a careful relationship with nature and a commitment to exceptional quality – with a particular preference for smooth, bright and aromatically accurate organic wines.

Ettore’s desire to find the purest possible expression of the vine led him to the Sanel Valley in Mendocino, along the northern course of the Russkaya River, where he discovered that the tradition of natural farming matched his vision of winemaking, as did the area’s exceptional terroir.

Our philosophy is to make wines with a holistic approach to balance the land and bring all the elements together while giving each wine a unique and individual character, says Ettore. We look forward to increasing the visibility of our wines and telling the compelling story of ETTORE through our partnership with Colangelo & Partners.

We are excited to partner with ETTORE and add them to our prestigious portfolio in California, said Gino Colangelo, President of Colangelo & Partners. We look forward to sharing ETTORE’s story, helping the organization achieve its goals, and reaching new audiences.
