WOODINVILLE, WA (December 8, 2020) – DeLille Cellars, one of the founders of Wudinville and a pioneer of Bordeaux blends in Washington, DC, has announced the appointment of Gianna Rinker as National Sales Manager. Ms. Rinker joined DeLille of Copper Cane Wines and Provisions, where she recently held the position of National Accounts Manager – Field. Rinker has extensive experience in the strategic development of national programs for leading wine brands in California and Washington. With Rinker, DeLille is no longer represented by Vintage Point Partners, Sonoma’s sales and marketing company.
DeLille is grateful to Vintage Point for its leadership over the past four years and for helping us expand our national presence. We are pleased that such a talented individual joins our strong team and know that Gianna will strengthen our relationships with our major distributors, restaurants and business partners and continue to be committed to the quality of world-class wine in Washington, said Tom Dugan, DeLille CEO.
During his tenure at Copper Reed Wines and Agro-Industrial Wines, Mr. Rinker led major partnerships including Landry’s, Nordstrom and Noble House Hotels and Resorts, and served as Regional Director for the Northwest. Prior to joining Copper Reed, Rinker was one of the founders of Washington Latta Wines, where she developed and implemented a national sales and marketing program for Latta, Kind Stranger and Disruption Wine Company. Other industry dignitaries include Charles Smith, head of the Estates Group’s Young’s Market Company and director of North West and International Sales.
I’m happy to welcome Gianna Rinker to the Delilay family. She brings a wealth of talent and industry knowledge to our team. I look forward to working with such an outstanding professional, says Jay Soloff, president, co-owner and co-founder of DeLille, which has been a major force in wine sales and marketing for over 20 years.
Rinker returned to his northwest roots in the cellars of Delil. She’s from Washington State and currently lives in Seattle. Rinker graduated from Whitman College and currently holds an MBA from UW Foster Business School. She loves skiing and cooking, and Delilah’s favorite wine is Harrison Hill, the only Bordeaux-style vineyard clan that has produced the winery since 1994 from Cabernet Sauvignon, the second oldest grape variety in the state.
I’m very happy to join DeLille to strengthen and expand the sales team, says Rinker. The combination of his heritage, excellent wines and growth potential is incredibly exciting. I look forward to working with our distribution partners to connect DeLille to a large number of retailers, restaurants and consumers in the United States and around the world.
The addition of Rinker enables DeLille’s sales management to create high-tech programmes to meet the current and changing needs of its partners in the restaurant, retail and hospitality industries across the country. The move follows the recent renovation of the legendary former Redhook Brewery in Wudinville, which included the construction of a new three-storey tasting room to meet DeLille’s goal of focusing on world-class wines in Washington State and the winery’s 28-year heritage.
