January 2021 – O’Neill Vintners & Distillers, one of the fastest growing wineries in the United States, announced the acquisition of Rabble Wines in Paso Robles, California. Rabble Wines was founded in 2010 by Paso Robles, an old wine manager, and produces premium AVA Paso Robles wines whose labels are disturbed by the wines’ struggle against Mother Nature. This acquisition is the sign of a new investment by O’Neill Vintners & Distillers in a fast growing market for young wine growers.

Rabble Wines is inspired by the daily challenges Murray faces as a wine manager, farmer and entrepreneur. In 2010, Murray founded Rabelais Wines in Paso Robles to prove that, despite Mother Nature’s non-polluting methods, he could make exceptional wines. According to Nielsen, who filed on the 28th. In November 2020, the baseline in the premium wine category increased by +51.3% over the 52 weeks.

The addition of Chatter to O’Neill’s portfolio is a great win for our customers and for the brand, Murray said.  I know that Rabble, led by visionary entrepreneur Jeff O’Neill, will continue to bring authenticity and adventure. I am very proud of what we have built together with Rabble, and I look forward to focusing my attention on the Tooth & Nail Wine Company, which promises to continue disrupting the toughest aspects of the wine world.

O’Neill is committed to creating sustainable growth through its innovative brands and offering the right wines to the consumers of the millennium and the future Z generation. Rob has created a unique brand that remains relevant in an industry that often lags behind. His efforts are echoed by modern and avant-garde wine lovers. Rabble fits well with our growing portfolio of nationally distributed brands, says Jeff O’Neill, CEO of O’Neill Vintners & Distillers.

Mr. O’Neill will continue the quality and spirit of Rabble wines produced from the fruit of the Paso Robles AVA in his own Paso Robles winery, focusing on the main line of Rabble Cabernet Sauvignon SRP $24.99, Rabble Zinfandel SRP $24.99, Rabble Red Blend SRP $15.99 and Rabble Rosé SRP $15.99.  These wines offer the augmented reality experience for which Rabble Wines, the first American winery to use AR on wine labels, is known. The details of the purchase have not been disclosed. For more information about O’Neill Vintners and Distillers, visit www.ONeillWine.com.
