Famous Accomplices Kristin & Jen Create California Wines To Celebrate Every Mom

ONeill-Vintners-Distillers-Honored-with-Wine-Institutes-California-GreenLARKSPUR, Calif. – July 20, 2021 – Every mom needs an accomplice, particularly during the past year. Comedians and long time friends, Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley created a place where every mom can feel understood resulting in millions of fans for their #IMOMSOHARD web-series which has now led to the launch of Accomplice – a collection of super premium California wines in partnership with O’Neill Vintners & Distillers. Accomplice will feature three varieties: 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2020 Chardonnay and 2020 Rosé.

“We were feeling extremely lost in parenting when we began #IMOMSOHARD. We relied on one other for much-needed humor and support, and we treasured the rare occasions when we could get together and laugh (and sometimes weep) over a glass of wine,” Hensley and Smedley stated. “We’ve had wine in our narrative from the beginning, so it’s only natural that we’d develop our own wonderful, go-to wine for newbies and connoisseurs alike. Accomplice is a sign of friendship, love, and a shared understanding that we have one other’s backs no matter what. Since 2016, when we began sharing our relationship with the world, we’ve acquired millions of devoted followers, proving that we all need an accomplice to make life a bit more enjoyable.”

Accomplice Wines are fruity, tasty, and perfect for every situation, from mom’s night out to viewing crime documentaries while the kids are sleeping.

Rosé (suggested retail price: $15)

“Built for breakfast, drinking anytime,” says Accomplice. Accomplice Rosé smells like strawberry, pear, and citrus flower and tastes like watermelon and honeydew. It screams “ditch day.” It goes well with fruit, cheese, and sunny days since it is bright and acidic. Alternatively, don’t worry about the pairings and just enjoy this one on its own.”

Chardonnay (suggested retail price: $15)

“Opens fresh and fruity, ends all vanilla and cream, this Chardonnay is always full of surprises,” says Accomplice. Keep your eyes peeled for the lengthy, structured finish; this one has spent a lot of time in the barrel. With your favorite charcuterie board—or, let’s be honest, your favorite bag of chips—a bottle of Accomplice Chardonnay? It’s the ideal cover.”

Cabernet Sauvignon (suggested retail price: $15)

“Bold and easy to sip, this silky criminal combines well with whatever’s in the fridge,” says Accomplice. Blackberry, cherry, and currant flavors, as well as delicate, silky tannins, making this a California Cab to brag about (or run away with).”

“In all seriousness, we dedicate Accomplice Wines to those of you who have had a difficult year and have chosen to keep moving ahead despite the obstacles. We understand. While some of you learned how to bake sourdough bread or arrange your bookshelves, Hensley and Smedley produced wine,” they said. “Our goal was simple: make the wine so that one day we may all rejoice together again!” That is going to be a fantastic day.”

#IMOMSOHARD partnered with O’Neill Vintners & Distillers to produce Accomplice, with Hensley and Smedley building their ideal wines with lead winemaker, Marty Spate. “We loved the brand idea from Kristin and Jen, and we knew O’Neill had to be their partner-in-wine (pun intended) as they brought Accomplice to life,” said Christine Moll, Chief Marketing Officer of O’Neill Vintners & Distillers.“It was important to all of us that we produce premium California varieties, to make each glass a true celebration of everything it takes to be a mom (or a dad).”

Accomplice is now available for online-only presale at in a three-bottle bundle with free delivery (SRP $45/3-pk). This presale will continue through August 5, 2021, with purchases shipping on or after August 13, and nationwide distribution starting in Spring 2022.

“Life is busy,” Hensley and Smedley concluded. That’s how we like it. We also like it when things calm down and we can relax with a bottle of wine that never disappoints. We’re here for it all, whether it’s a date night or an unexpected dance party. To all of our friends: mothers, fathers, women, guys, and everyone else we name ‘friend,’ we are and will always be your trusty ACCOMPLICE! Cheers!”

Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley’s Biographies

Kristin and Jen, real-life best friends, comedians, and mothers, started #IMOMSOHARD as a popular online series. They decided to share a different type of tale one night, over a glass of wine and many tears of frustration, and talked freely about their worries and failures to show that the only way to endure motherhood is through humor and camaraderie. This spawned an online community of two million of social media’s most active users, confirming that mothers and women all around the world needed to laugh and be heard. The #IMSH series is written and produced by both women with the same goal: to make you feel better about the job you’re doing by showing you how bad we’re doing.
