Santa Margherita Rosé joins a renowned portfolio of wines produced in Italy’s finest vineyards.

(MIAMI BEACH, FL, April 13, 2021) – Santa Margherita, the beloved Italian wine brand that produced the first white Pinot Grigio and helped put Prosecco on the map, is excited to introduce its newest innovation, Santa Margherita Rosé, this summer.

The Santa Margherita Rosé is bright and lively, with fresh and balanced acidity. The pale pink shade is inspired by the beautiful pink tones reflected in the Venetian lagoon during a perfect summer sunset. Its light, floral flavor, the result of careful winemaking, makes it the perfect accompaniment to almost any meal. It goes well with salads, appetizers, grilled meats and various cheeses. Made from grapes sourced from the most prized vineyards in the heart of the historic and productive Tre Venetia region, this new wine is sure to delight new and loyal Santa Margherita fans alike.

Santa Margherita has been sharing exceptional wines representing the authentic flavors of Italy for more than eight decades, and we are proud to announce a new release worthy of our esteemed portfolio, said Vincent Chiaramonte, president and CEO of Santa Margherita USA. This rosé embodies the brand’s roots in the Northeast region and continues the legacy of our founder, Count Gaetano Marzotto, a pioneer and entrepreneur who strived to bring the best local flavor to every bottle. We are pleased to present the Santa Margherita Rosa consumer.

Since its founding in 1935, Santa Margherita has been at the forefront of wine innovation. The brand made Prosecco popular with the launch of Prosecco Superiore in 1952, at a time when only locals knew about the now world-famous Italian sparkling drink. In the 1960s, the Marzotto family pioneered white Pinot Grigio, which is produced through a unique fermentation process that removes the skin from the grapes. At its launch, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio took the United States by storm and to this day is the market leader in luxury Pinot Grigio.

Santa Margherita Rosé joins the brand’s portfolio of highly regarded wines, which includes Prosecco Superiore Di Valdobbiadene DOCG and Pinot Grigio, as well as the sparkling rosé wines, Rive di Refrontolo and Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG. The rosé will be sold in select stores in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Texas and California for $24.99 a bottle.
