Talamonti Wines of Abruzzo Italy Appoints PH Importing as Exclusive National USA Importer

Talamonti Wines of Abruzzo Italy Appoints PH Importing as Exclusive National USA Importer  SALINAS, CA – 13. Jan 2021 – PH Imports, a national importer of quality wines, has added Talamonti, in Abruzzo, Italy, another winery to its national import portfolio. The announcement reflects an exclusive national marketing and distribution agreement effective immediately.

Bob Piotrowski, founder of PH Importing, shared his enthusiasm: Talamonti is truly a winery in a class of its own. The wines shine as a bastion of quality, especially with their sustainable vineyards and winemaking in the region often seen as pure volume and value, he noted. Antonella Di Tonno and Rodrigo Redmont have made wonderful wines from a great cellar, and it will be a pleasure to share them with the country.

Talamonti was founded in 2001 by the Di Tonno-Redmon family, based in Loreto-Aprutino, Abruzzo, central Italy, and is considered one of the most important producers in Abruzzo. The winery’s vocation is to highlight the rich history of the region and its ideal climate for winegrowing. In addition, the winery is committed to sustainable viticulture and organic viticulture whenever possible. The winery specializes in the production of several grape varieties, including the classic Abruzzo grape variety, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and Pecorino.

The imported wines are TREBI- Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC, ATERNUM- Trebbiano d’Abruzzo DOC, TRABOCCHETTO Pecorino-Pecorino IGP, ROSÉ – Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC, KUDOS – Rosso IGP (a blend of Montepulciano and Merlot), MODA – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC and TRE SAGGI – Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC.

For almost 20 years, the winery and its wines have been regularly rewarded by the press and critics, including Decanter, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, International Wine Awards, Gambero Rosso, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Korea Wine Awards, Mundus Vini, Berliner Wein Trophy and many others. They have received international recognition for their Trabocchetto Pecorino di Abruzzo (Pecorino Colline Pescaresi IGT), which has won more awards than any other wine in the region.

We are very happy to partner with PH Import in the US and promote Abruzzo’s sustainable wines through their expertise, said Rodrigo Redmont, president/owner. As more and more Americans appreciate Italian wines and the Italian way of life, our goal is to promote the extraordinary biodiversity of Abruzzo through our artisan wines. In Italy Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is, together with Prosecco and Brunello, one of the most important

recognized and evaluated names. We will do our utmost to take its recognition in the United States to the next level.

PH Imports is strategically focused on Shade Family Wines in California. Scheid provides the logistics, analysis and distribution structure for the national integration and support of PH’s import portfolio.
