December 2020. – V-Del (V-Del), California’s oldest family business processing grapes, juice, concentrate, spirits, wine and beverage wholesale, announced today that it was announced on November 29. December 2020: Acquisition of Canandaigua High Color Concentrate (HCC) and the standard grape concentrate business of Constellation Brands U.S. Operations, Inc. (CBUSO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Constellation Brands, Inc. (Constellation). The agreement was approved by the Federal Trade Commission on 23 November. December 2020 approved. The terms of the agreement have not been published.

The acquisition includes Canandaigua’s MegaNatural HCC, Mega Purple and Mega Red concentrates, as well as standard grape concentrates offered under the Vie-Del brand. In addition, the acquisition included certain intellectual property, inventories, goodwill, interests in certain contracts and other assets.

The acquisition of Canandaigua Concentrate expands our already extensive line of grape juice concentrates and turns Vie-Del into a color-intensive concentrate company with enormous growth potential, said Diane S. Noory, president of Vie-Del. Our team of experts will continue to serve our existing and new industry partners with quality products that contribute to their growth, and with the same personal approach to business as our family business has had for 70 years.

This acquisition expands Vie-Del’s product portfolio and makes the company the leading supplier of high quality coloured grape concentrates in North America. Combined with Vie-Del’s existing concentrate business, these new opportunities will further strengthen the company’s ability to meet market needs both domestically and internationally. Other Vie-Del products complement this offer, including wine, cognac, grape and fruit brandies, adapted fruit purees and concentrates, natural wine aromas and wine glasses. To support this growth, Vie-Del begins expanding a state-of-the-art multi-million dollar facility in the heart of California’s Fresno County agribusiness.
