Washington’s Iconic 14 Hands Winery is launching two new labels and a spirited new campaign, dubbed Find Your Wild™. The labels, which have a modern, iconoclastic look, were designed by Tony Pease, a Seattle-based graphic designer. The labels are inspired by the idea of exploration, discovery, and the thrill of not knowing what you might find. The campaign is inspired by the idea that everyone—no matter how long you’ve been around—has something wild inside you.

When you think of the 14 Hands brand, you probably envision the distinctive black and silver logo and labels with the iconic “14” hands. The winery recently announced that its iconic labels are getting a makeover. This year it’s launching new labels and a new campaign, Find Your Wild™. This campaign is designed to help you find your wild side and will be featured throughout the year at 14 Hands wine events and on its new website.

(Prosser, WA) — 14 Hands Winery, Washington State’s second-largest winery, today announced the relaunch of its iconic brand with new labels across the range, a revamped digital presence and a Find Your Wild™ campaign and lottery aimed at helping consumers reclaim their weekends after the monotony of working from home last year.

14 Hands Winery has been a flagship of the Washington State wine industry since its inception in 2005 and has quickly grown into what it is today, according to President Ste. Michelle Wine Estates David Deery. The brand was ripe for a revolution, and we’re excited to introduce a new look and feel that really highlights the authenticity of our brand, which is what consumers want. It’s still the same great wine made by talented winemaker Keith Kenison, now in a beautiful package, says Diri.

14 Hands Winery was inspired by the indomitable spirit of wild horses that once roamed free in Eastern Washington. With their little fourteen hands – one hand as wide as a palm – these sturdy horses descended from the hills every day to drink the water of the mighty Columbia River and graze on its banks, then returned at night to refresh themselves.

As a result of this change, the labels on the 750ml bottles have changed from the original painted horse design to a stylised black and white photograph of real wild horses, providing a new look. The canned wines, on the other hand, show the same images of wild horses, but in bright, colorful colors. The labels were designed in collaboration with Pearlfisher, a global brand design agency. The new packaging for the entire range is already available in stores across the country and online.

The new look is complemented by the Find Your Wild™ campaign platform, which encourages consumers to rediscover their weekends by ending the work week early, on Fridays at 3 p.m., to engage in passion projects and fun adventures. The relaunch will also be supported by effective outdoor advertising, social media programs and partnerships with influencers, national digital advertising and strong public relations.

To help consumers make the most of their leisure time, the brand has also launched a Cash in on Your Wild promotion, where around 500 people can win up to $50,000 for their adventures. Whether it’s camping gear for the weekend, karaoke with friends or the cost of a first drum lesson, 14 Hands Winery helps consumers rediscover the wild weekend.
