Along with our winery in Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley Vineyards in Oregon is excited to announce a new collaboration with Dundee Hills Winery. The two wineries will work together to expand the Willamette Valley’s offerings beyond our traditional Pinot and Pinot Gris offerings. Beginning with a limited release of a new wine, the Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir, in 2014.

Don’t get me wrong, I love wine, but I’ve never been a fan of the whole “world’s greatest wine region” thing. I’m more interested in the people and the places that make wine, and combine that with my love of Oregon and the Willamette Valley.

As of today, Willamette Valley Vineyards has acquired the Dundee Hills Winery and is moving forward with the expansion plans which includes the purchase of the Dundee Hills Vineyard. The website for the Dundee Hills Winery still exists.. Read more about where can i buy willamette valley vineyards wine and let us know what you think.

24. June 2021 (Turner, OR) –Willamette Valley Vineyards(NASDAQ: WVVI & WVVIP), Oregon’s leading Pinot Noir producer, announces plans for a new vineyard in the Dundee Hills adjacent to the glittering, nearly completed Bernau Estate Vineyard, called Domaine Willamette. To support its expansion, Willamette Valley Vineyards has begun looking for a new Director of Winemaking and Vineyards to build a state-of-the-art winery in the Dundee Hills and oversee the winery and vineyard operations.

The new winery, which will serve as the primary production and bottling facility for several Willamette Valley Vineyards brands, will be built on 40 acres in the Dundee Hills AVA near Highway 99 – on land Willamette Valley Vineyards purchased four years ago.

The estate is well suited to support our company’s many brands, including Willamette Valley Vineyards and the recently announced sparkling wine brand Domaine Willamette Champagne Method, which will launch in late spring 2022, said Vineyard Manager Christine Clair.

Founder and CEO Jim Bernau explains: Our Salem Hills winery has served us well for the past 34 years, but we are simply overwhelmed by the original design. Last year, we produced 175,000 cases at this local vineyard and we expect demand to continue to grow in the coming years as our restaurants and retailers expand and new wine restaurants are built in local communities. Bernau estimates that production needs will double in the next 5-7 years.

Willamette hired Steve Martin Associates of Sonoma County to plan, design and develop this winery.

The new Manager is responsible for the overall management of the winery and vineyards, which currently employs 65 full-time and part-time staff. Since most of the grapes for Willamette wine are grown on the estate and quality is controlled directly by the winery, the new manager will oversee five of the estate’s vineyards in the Willamette Valley totaling approximately 500 acres, as well as 35 vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley and The Rocks area of the Milton-Freewater AVA. The winery also has a longstanding relationship with Oregon farmers, with whom it has contracts for another 500 acres.

The new Director of Winery and Vineyards will use his business acumen and entrepreneurial skills to make improvements and innovations in the operation of the winery for all brands and to help develop new brands, products and vineyards. His first priority will be to oversee the design, construction and transition to the new winery over the next two to four years.

WineTalent will lead the search for the Director of Wine and Vineyards. All interested candidates may obtain more information and apply confidentially at

Willamette has launched a strategy to share Oregon’s wine history through wine restaurants. The first four were called Lake Oswego, Vancouver Waterfront, Happy Valley and Bend. This new strategic direction was developed based on the work of their Estate Winery restaurant and a prototype outpost built last year in the historic district of Folsom, California. The Winery’s restaurants will serve Pacific Northwest-inspired dishes paired with classic wines from Oregon wineries, as well as a new membership program. The brand experience will be integrated with the products and retail channels to attract more consumers to the wines.

Through the vineyards of the Willamette Valley

Founded in 1983 by Jim Bernau with the dream of producing world-class Pinot Noirs while being a steward of the land, Willamette Valley Vineyards has grown from a bold idea into one of the region’s leading wineries, earning the title of one of America’s Greatest Pinot Noirs from the magazine. All vineyards are certified to the LIVE (Low Impact Viticulture and Enology) and Salmon-Safe programs.

The winery is supported by more than 19,000 wine-loving owners and plans to continue raising capital through a preferred stock offering. In mid-June, the winery began a $10.7 million fundraising campaign to finance plans for the Winery Restaurant. The share price is $5.05, with an annual dividend of 4.36% or 15% more wine credit. The Willamette Valley is a wine-making region of the Pacific Northwest. In April, Willamette Valley Vineyards, a Portland-based winery, announced a new $20 million expansion to its Dundee Hills Winery and Vineyard in the Dundee Hills region of Oregon. The project is expected to double the size of the Dundee Hills Winery and Vineyard and the Willamette Valley Vineyards cellars, allowing the company to double production and create a new winemaking facility..
