Try Vin du Lac for crisp Riesling with lake vistas, or Karma Vineyards for traditional-method sparkling wine, which is one of the state’s few producers. At nightfall, go to Mellisoni Vineyards with a bottle of rosé and a couple Adirondack chairs to watch the sunset reflect in the lake.
Seneca Lake, New York is a town in the state of New York.
Wine is grown in abundance in the Finger Lakes, a series of glacial gouges that like the swipe of a heavenly bear paw in northern New York. The vineyard-lined Seneca Lake, which is almost 38 miles long and up to 618 feet deep, is the one that contains the most water.
