This leading organization offers exclusive deals and professional/personal development programs, networking and a job board to registered members.

April 9, 2021 (New York, NY) – Women of the Vine & Spirits (WOTVS), the leading global membership organization dedicated to creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive era for the wine, brewing and spirits industries, today announced that it has been officially recognized as an Approved Program Provider (APP) for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust® (WSET), which provides online courses and exams for the WSET Level 1-2 Awards in Wines and Level 1-2 Awards in Spirits.

WSET qualifications are recognised worldwide as the international standard for wines, spirits and sake. They are designed to inspire and empower anyone looking to expand their knowledge of beverages – from novice to expert, enthusiast to professional. WSET plans to add qualifications for beer to its portfolio in 2022.

Women of the Vine and Spirit strongly believes that education is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about gaining self-confidence, according to Deborah Brenner, founder and executive director of Women of the Vine and Spirit. Becoming qualified is an important step in starting, changing or moving up the career ladder. If you combine this with the benefits of WOTVS membership, such as. B. Networking, personal programs and business development programs, our WSET students enjoy a wide range of opportunities that go far beyond the classroom.

All WSET WOTVS students have access to exclusive live video chats and virtual tastings with industry personalities and WSET-certified speakers/professionals, a list of WOTVS member-recommended wine and spirits tastings, and exclusive discounts from WOTVS members such as Coravin and Drizly. In addition, students who are eligible to join WOTVS at WSET receive the benefits of WOTVS membership, including access to the job board of leading beverage alcohol companies, live discussions and diversity training, equity and inclusion, mentoring, personal/professional development, a membership list of more than 7,000 professionals in all areas of wine, beer and spirits, and various private groups such as the Pride Alliance, People of Color Alliance, Distillers, Brewers and Grapevine.

Registration for the WOTWS Qualifier is open to women and men in the United States, and to members and non-members of WOTWS. Courses begin in June. For more information and registration, visit womenofthevine.com/wset-qualifications.
