This is the organization’s first free and public event, where everyone is invited to participate.

February 22, 2021 (New York, NY) – Women of the Wine and Spirits Industry (WOTVS), the world’s largest global membership organization committed to boldly moving the wine, beer and spirits industry toward a more diverse, equitable and inclusive era, announced program details for its first free, public virtual event on February 8, titled Raise Your Glass to Equality. From 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PT, International Women’s Day, there will be a walk.

The special event will be filled with music, entertainment and dedications from around the world to celebrate the social, economic and cultural achievements of women on International Women’s Day.

After a difficult 2020 for the hospitality industry and the world, we wanted to take a moment to raise our heads, raise our glasses and applaud the hope we see in the future, said Deborah Brenner, founder and CEO of Women of the Vine & Spirits.

Wine and Spirits Women, founded in 2015, is the catalyst for a movement for women’s empowerment and diversity, equality and inclusion in the wine, beer and spirits industry. The organization has thousands of members worldwide, and its corporate members are more than 160 companies committed to initiating change internally and externally to create an industry where everyone can succeed.

The event will be led by Lee Woodruff, author and New York Times speaker. The New York Times bestselling author of In an Instant, Lee Woodruff, has been widely praised for his compelling and humorous chronicle of her family’s healing journey after her husband Bob was wounded by a bomb in Iraq. Her bestseller Perfectly Imperfect – A Life in Progress is the testimony of a woman who embraces the chaos of her surroundings, discovers the brilliance of life’s imperfections, and accepts that perfection is as impossible as a spotless kitchen floor. Woodruff was a reporter for Good Morning America and CBS This Morning on ABC.

Everyone is invited to register for the FREE EVENT on the Femmes de la Vigne et des Spiritueux website to participate in the celebration. Sign up today: https://www.womenofthevine.com/events/wotvs-toast-raise-your-glass-for-equality. The recording ends on the 2nd. March at 5 p.m. PT.
